Patriotic Book Publishing Strikes Chord with Readers

Book publishing really is for everyone, as Patricia Schoeler proves in her West Essex Tribune interview. The West Orange resident and poet spoke to her local paper about her new book, The Day America Cried, inspired by the tragic events of 9/11. “I wrote those poems as they were happening,” she says about her venture into book publishing. “This book is also a historical account of sorts.”  She originally tried unassisted self publishing, and it took some years for her to learn how to publish a book. In these days of widespread quality book publishing, she found a way her work could reach more people and decided to take her poetry to indie book publishers, finally choosing Xlibris.

Book publishing has become an outlet for Patricia, and she says she is preparing another poetry collection for self publishing. “It turns out that my poems seemed to help others too,” she says, “which is very important to me.”
