Self publishing was Chloe Jackson’s first choice for her grandfather’s last manuscript. Eaon Jackson had lived in Hong Kong with his family since 1975, running his dog training program and participating in amateur theater. Book publishing seemed unlikely for this busy man. But since Eaon’s death in 1997, self publishing has created many unexpected avenues for writers, as Chloe found out in her search for publishing companies to help her achieve her grandfather’s dream.
Now Chloe has just finished self publishing Milandra, her grandfather’s fantasy story, with one of the top indie book publishers, Xlibris. Not having learned how to publish a book herself, she contracted Xlibris’s Australian branch to produce the story, in which a brave girl stands against an evil stepmother. The book is now out in trade paperback with beautiful cover illustrations from Xlibris, and Chloe Jackson has given her grandfather his final wish of self publishing his book.
